USA-Mexico rivalry returns to LA for first time since 2011

There’s a huge soccer game on Saturday at the Rose Bowl. You may have heard.

Saturday is the first time the two CONCACAF rivals will face off in the Rose Bowl since 2011, when Mexico won the 2011 Gold Cup final in front a largely pro-Mexico crowd. But considering the Los Angeles area’s demographic makeup, it’s natural that the CONCACAF rivalry has a long history in the region.

Here’s a look at the L.A. sports venues that have hosted a game in the United States-Mexico rivalry.
