The Portland Timbers officially finished the 2015 MLS season with a 2-1 victory over Columbus on Sunday to win their first MLS Cup in franchise history.

The Timbers scored the fastest goal in MLS history to take the lead 27 seconds into the game, then scored again in the seventh minute.Columbus pulled one back in the 18th minute but never found the equalizer. “I don’t think it has sunk in yet that there’s no next game,” Timbers coach Caleb Porter told reporters. “We’re raising the trophy and we’re the best team in MLS this year.”

The Crew, meanwhile, were singing a much different song as they watched the Timbers celebrate on their home field.
“To me, it’s not about just getting up and walking away,” Kei Kamara told reporters. “It’s about seeing the other guys, how they feel, what that celebration is like, because you want to do that.”
