While FC Dallas traded up to the No. 1 spot of Friday’s MLS Re-Entry Draft to take former Portland Timbers forward Maximilano Urruti, the LA Galaxy passed on the first stage of the draft.

Sporting Kansas City was the only other team to make a selection during the first stage of the draft Friday, picking former Chicago Fire goalkeeper Alec Kann.

Former Galaxy players Brian Perk, Tommy Meyer, Charlie Rugg and Donovan Ricketts were not chosen in the first stage, but are still eligible for the second stage, which takes place on Dec. 17.

In the second stage, picks will negotiate new deals with their new clubs, while first-stage picks are signed for their current contract option for 2016.
