Alan Gordon confirms he’s signing with Colorado

Galaxy fan favorite Alan Gordon confirmed in an Instagram post that he’s signing with the Colorado Rapids.

Gordon had two stints with the Galaxy. First from 2005-2010 and from 2014-2016. He scored 29 goals with the club.

Note: Colorado confirmed the signing Monday morning.

Galaxy forward Alan Gordon added to U.S. national team roster

Galaxy forward Alan Gordon was called into the U.S. National Team camp for Friday’s ussoccerlogoWorld Cup qualifier against Mexico in Columbus.

The game will air on Fox Sports 1 at 4:45 pm., Friday.

Gordon replaces Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris, who suffered a hamstring injury Sunday.

Gordon is scheduled to arrive in Columbus later today. Gordon was called in to national team camp last November for a pair of games against Trinidad and Tobago and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Gordon scored three goals in 22 appearances for the Galaxy this season.

Galaxy injury notes: Dan Kennedy likely out for Colorado

After injuring his leg in the first half of the Galaxy’s season opener against D.C. United, goalkeeper Dan Kennedy is likely out for the team’s game against Colorado on Saturday, head coach Bruce Arena said.

It looked as it Kennedy injured either his hamstring or groin on a goal kick, defender Daniel Steres said after the game. Arena characterized the injury simply as a “muscle strain” while the team continues to evaluate the 33-year-old goalkeeper.
