How South Bay lawmakers voted on the bailout

The Wall Street bailout bill failed in the House today on a vote of 205 in favor, 228 opposed. The Dow plummeted 777 points.

South Bay Reps. Jane Harman, Laura Richardson and Maxine Waters voted in favor. All are Democrats.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a Republican, voted no.

Here is Harman's statement on the vote:

The response of the markets to the House vote is clear. While there is no Plan B, Congress must come back to work this week and somehow find 10 votes.
And this is from Rohrabacher's:

Effective reform takes time, commitment and cooperation which were obviously not a part of this speeded up, hysteria driven proposal. I remain willing to work with all of my colleagues in the House to fix our broken financial system. In the end, this bailout proposal was socialism for the rich or better, socialism without a human face.
The last line is a reference to the Prague Spring of 1968, during which Communist Party reformers took the slogan "socialism with a human face."
