After several failed attempts to launch a commercial rocket into space, the Hawthorne-based Space X finally found success Sunday.
The Surfrider Foundation will begin tomorrow ripping out an artificial reef installed eight years ago off the coast of El Segundo. The structure, V-shaped and made of sand bags, was supposed to bring back the waves that disappeared after Chevron made modifications to its refinery nearby. Well, the waves never came, so Surfrider is pulling the reef.
