Here's what's doing out there this morning, Sept. 9:

"I thought: 'God, I've killed her,'" convicted murderer Erwin Howard recalled in court Monday as he detailed how he murdered his ex-wife in her El Segundo home about four years ago. The detailed confession was required under a deal in which he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for a reduced prison sentence of 15 years with credit for time served.

What's a girl gotta do to get a taco in Palos Verdes Estates? The City Council could make it even harder for catering trucks to operate in town by imposing fees on the so-called taco trucks and their employees.
