Mmmm, election night

Nothing says America like bribing people to vote: Krispy Kreme, Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's all handed out free treats to voters today.

And don't forget the Daily Breeze. The perk for working election night is the bounty of free food in the office.

Buzzed on tasty Panera coffee, courtesy of reporter Kristin Agostoni, editorial employees circled the newsroom like vultures until pizza was delivered at seven.

cupcakes.jpgAnd later, I'll be putting out these babies at left. Cupcakes decorated like good, patriotic Americans. Mmm.

What kind of election food are you craving? Pork-barrel spending chops? Baked Alaska? Chicago-style deep-dish pizza?

*Update, 7:40 p.m.: Copy editor Chris Ledermuller just put out a bunch of ice cream tubs. Maybe I'll just quietly take my cupcakes home and eat them myself?

Those cupcakes almost wish I were right there with you guys for the long haul. ALMOST.

Man, those look good. Woodhouse is quite the baker, y'all.

OK so what now?
We are a family of three who has worked for 25 years to live and enjoy the South Bay. We have worked very hard to pay down the mortgage and create equity, socked away more than the "experts" said should be in the 401K's. We don't live beyond our means, one house, limited vacations and no Bentley's in the driveway. We do however just overachieve enough to be above the "wealth redistribtution" level of Mr. President elect! With the major increase in taxes and the loss of any capital gains benefits what's a family to do with a child entering college and the economy in dire straits?
I'm hoping you all will be kind enough to purchase my new book "200 ways to cook government cheese"

Best of Luck
