Usually the only pressure Jane Harman gets in her district comes from the left. Sure, she got a bunch of calls urging her to oppose the bank bailout bill, but most of the time, if somebody is picketing outside her office it's because of the Iraq war or surveillance -- or maybe the Armenian genocide.

We had a great meeting with Jane Harman who was cordial, gracious, and very interested in this growing grassroots TEA party movement that we are a part of. She said she was impressed by the number of calls that she has gotten from our group. She is a Blue Dog Democrat and one of our goals was to support her in all of her fiscally conservative positions and encourage her in future bills because we the people want to stop the staggering spending, balance the budget, and stop the bailouts. And on the Health-care bill which has not hit the floor yet that we want a fiscally conservative solution that does not grow the power of the Federal Government in any way. We also expressed our profound disappointment with the Cap and Trade vote. More on all this later as I must get on a plane in a few minutes.They are planning a demonstration outside her office in opposition to the Obama health plan on July 17.
Jane Harmon a blue dog Democrat? Her voting record this year hasn't shown it. She voted for the $787 billion "stimulus" plan and voted yes on "Cap and Trade". We need a major firing in the House of Representatives in the November 2010 elections and also in the 2010 primaries. There is no reason why we should send people to Washington to represent us who won't due their homework. What do I mean by homework. This Congress has gotten into the habit of voting on crucial legislation without reading, studying and questioning what they are voting for. Jane Harmon fits into this mold. If this Congress doesn't have the time or desire to read the legislation before they vote then we the voters need to find people who will. You really think Harmon is going to know what she is voting on when it comes to health care? She will fail her fiduciary duty to her citizens once again.
The time to replace Jane is next year, if she does not make a major change in her voting record. The time to do our best to work with her in overturning Cap and Trade, defeating Obamacare, and reversing some of the spending bills is NOW.
