With all seven precincts counted, Hermosa voters ousted one City Council incumbent, but kept another and added two new folks to the dais today.

With 24.8 percent of the vote, Howard Fishman was the top vote-getter. Following were Jeff Duclos and current Mayor Kit Bobko, respectively earning 18.3 and 15.8 percent of the vote.

Two-term Councilman Michael Keegan finished fourth with 13.7 percent of the vote.

Also trailing in the eight-candidate field were Josh Ochs with 10.6 percent; Kathleen Midstokke with 9.3 percent, Christopher Reed with 6.4 percent, and Marc Schoonover with 1.1 percent.

Keegan got whats coming to him don't forget he doesn't work cheap

I have to believe those anti-Keegan aerial campaigns buzzing over my house for an hour on Saturday and 3 hours on Sunday have to be in violation of some noise ordinance. Does anyone know if flying over our homes like that is against any laws? In my house at least, it was a major disturbance and if anything would cause me to vote opposite what they were asking me. For the rare local who didn't see the signs, they read "No to Taxman Keegan". Let's hope that Keegan's loss does not in any way encourage this type of campaigning in our town.

Keegan told the Hermosa Beach business community on July 14th to "pound sand", and they made him pay with his council seat. City Councuil members have to respect both residents & businesses in their community, and Keegan only respected the first half.

Just another local Dem learning about capitalism the hard way! How about all of those parcel taxes dying at the ballot? Measure T, TOT and UU, among others, all going down. Maybe South Bay voters are "Taxed Enough Already"? ;-)
