Good to know, huh?
I guess if your last city manager was a guy who kept a secret dossier on elected officials and fellow city employees, you'd stress those particular qualifications in your help wanted ad, too.
Former City Manager Tom Odom was given the boot in November after City Council members learned of the file he'd kept for years on his work computer that someone copied during last fall's bitter municipal election campaign.
BTW, Lomita still hasn't hired Odom's successor (let's hope they're not finding ethical, straight-forward potential city managers with integrity thin on the ground).
The City Council interviewed three finalists Wednesday night at a special City Council meeting, but couldn't reach a consensus, Mayor Don Suminiga said.
"It's difficult for five people to decide unanimously (on a particular candidate) and that's the problem we're faced with," Suminiga said.
So Lomita is still looking. Suminiga said he hopes to have Odom's successor in place by the end of March.
