Happy Hanukkah, from the California Republican Party

| | Comments (0) |
Two things never to discuss in mixed company wrapped into a single press release:

Happy Hanukkah Greetings from the California

Republican Party

SACRAMENTO - California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring today

issued the following statement:

"The California Republican Party extends Happy Hanukkah greetings to all

those celebrating the start of the Festival of Lights at sundown tonight.

The eight-day Jewish holiday commemorates the historic occasion when

the Jewish people fought against a brutal tyrant for their right to worship

freely and the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.

"Miracles, such as the oil lasting for 8 days, teach us the power of faith

and community. This special festival holiday also celebrates the meaning

of life, liberty, religious freedom, and the light unto the nations that is

the people of Israel.

"Please join the California Republican party in wishing all of our Jewish

friends a happy Hanukkah season of blessings, and may Jerusalem remain

a free and united symbol of peace."
