I'm surprised there are no post yet? Come on folks, what are your predictions for these matchups? Let's get some commentary going here.
Here's what I think - (Only predictions, but should make for interesting conversation for this week):
MC at QH - Costa 27; QH 17
(MC will fill the chill of Quartz Hill, but will pull the game out due to it's senior leadership, balanced running attack [3 horseman; 1 speedster], special teams, and limiting the penalties/turnovers)
Serra at OC - Serra 35 ; OC 33
(It's time for payback from last season and it will be both teams toughest game this season, but I predict the Cavaliers will pull an upset in Thousand Oaks)
Narbonne vs. SP - Narbonne 20 ; SP 17
(I know SP is angry about what happened during the regular season and has a point to prove, but the leadership of Moten and his supporting cast will secure them a victory; yes SP gets beat twice in one season)
My pick is San Pedro to take the city title. If it wasn't for several bad calls Pedro would have won their first encounter. Both are good teams.
Mira Costa = comeback of the year. Who knows maybe they will go all the way.
Go Serra in the other game.
i think its narbonne 27 pedro 23 people talk about the bad calls for pedro but narbonne had its share of the bad too! come on! city referees! what else do you expect? Serra 31 OC 35 im rooting for serra but i dont think the immaculate reception can happen 2 weeks in a row! MC 14 QH 13 costa grind it out and play clock control keep the ball out of their offenses hands
You can talk about MC's no name team, but how about their no name staff. You won't find a better high school coaching staff anywhere. They are unassuming and hard working. Their total years of coaching if you add it up is over 100 years. They have all been there, they would be the first ones to give all the credit to the kids.
I predict Narbonne for the city... San Pedro is good but Narbonne is just better...
MC and QH.... well i dont know much about QH team so i dont know about that one...
But Oak Christian and Serra that's the game of the year... Im a Serra Alumni '01 so i say Serra we want it more... we have more heart... Oak Christian is good but I know we play with more heart... GO CAVS!!!
