Does anyone know whatn the criteria for getting in the Hall of Fame at West is?

Congratulations to this great group of former Warriors! El Camino was blessed to have had a few of these fine athletes continue their successes here. Enjoy the ceremony!

huh

Criteria for West High Hall of fame members?Kiss ass on all administrators especially pricipal. Poor sportsmanship. Coach your own kid it doesnt matter if you know what your doing. Coach Holt sure as hell doesnt know what he is doing.Your parents must never say a negative word about the coaching.Praise the play of any player whose parent is on the staff.Drink booze until you are as drunk as coach Peterson.Dont dare come up with good coaching ideas you will be taken care of.

Anonymous folks sending off drunken e-mails critical of those who have had success is just cheap and classless.

Since this last fellow on July 24th seems to slighted, what have you done to deserve any honor of any kind other than just another wannabe, wish to be, thought you were couch guy.

I am sure you were all-league in your own mind, and can convince anyone that you should be in the bigs had it not been for one these coaches recognizing your core talent and sending you packing.

You are still living in high school as a disgruntled teenager. I can imagine that the course of your life has followed suit.

Time to grow up and move on.

Met four of those people inducted. And played under Dave Weatherman. Very nice stuff. Proud to be a West High Warrior!

Dave Thorpe

Dave Thorpe was a self-proclaimed, slightly above average baseball player back in the day at Torrance's West High, who went on and had an unspectacular, injury-riddled stint as a third baseman at El Camino College. Trading bat for pen, Thorpe wrote sports for the Long Beach Union newspaper at Long Beach State University, then worked as the sports editor for the Palos Verdes Peninsula News for seven years before climbing down the Hill to the Daily Breeze, where he has been a sports writer covering local sports for more than two years.
