Crenshaw up against Lakewood 22-21 4th quarter

Good thing Palos Verdes got rid of Coach Fresch! Otherwise the score would have been JSerra 27 Palos Verdes 0.

THA LAKEWOOD QB IS AS GOOD AS THEY SAY......... N THA SHAW WILL WIN THA CITY THIS YEAR......

if i were pasadena i would request a grade check on the westchester football players. coach patterson used ineligible players during his time as frosh -soph coach at westchester

Pat Fresch is a saint!

Hey Tony and Dave, I know, historically, Harbor hasn't received the degree of coverage as compared to the coverage the Breeze has afforded El Camino (and rightly so) however, this year may prove to be a special season for the Seahawks. They probably have the largest contingent of overall talent as they've had in many years. I hope your coverage of Harbor will grow accordingly as their wins increase and their season becomes more successful with each ensuing week.

PV asks for a new coach and gets it. Same or even worse result, scoring against scrubs with minutes on the clock doesn't count. It's going to be a long season for PV because they are SO young. Or is that just a smoke screen? 3 returning starters on the o-line, returning QB, Returning 2 RB's, 2 WR's. On defense, 3 d-line, 2 Lb's and two db's. Answer me this PV, How can you be young two years in a row?

I wish Redondo was that young, we would win it all.

Poor Gardner, a good coach will be eaten by it's own, just like Fresch. PVHS is the new graveyard of coaches.

Coach G, there is a place for you here in Redondo, just down the street from your house.

Looks like you spoke to soon. PV just downed the defending city champions.

Ciniglio graduated from Malibu High (home of the mighty Sharks) in 1997 as part of the school's second graduating class before attending powerhouse Pepperdine (Class of 2001), thus shattering any reader's preconceived notion that he has any personal bias when it comes to South Bay Preps.

Dave Thorpe

Dave Thorpe was a self-proclaimed, slightly above average baseball player back in the day at Torrance's West High, who went on and had an unspectacular, injury-riddled stint as a third baseman at El Camino College. Trading bat for pen, Thorpe wrote sports for the Long Beach Union newspaper at Long Beach State University, then worked as the sports editor for the Palos Verdes Peninsula News for seven years before climbing down the Hill to the Daily Breeze, where he has been a sports writer covering local sports for more than two years.
