Carson beats A.B. Miller 56-21

Where can you find the breakdown of all the prep games?

Do you ever put anything for Torrance High School on your website? You know, the only high school in Torrance that actually has the name Torrance. I've looked for two weeks to find scores for this season and all I can find are last year's scores.

ummmis serrra the best in the west or what? who agrees?

serra = oaks christian beware

Its because torrance is a boring football team to watch and read about. and the daily breeze doesnt give credit to anyone but west torrance and serra.

S House - you have to be smoking something strong if you think that Serra has a chance against Oaks this year. If you thought the pounding wasn't bad enough the past two years when you met up, you haven't seen anything yet because this year Oaks is better than ever.

Trailer Park Boy, S-House does have a chance to beat Oaks this year. Perhaps a better chance than the last 2 seasons. Oaks is a fantastic team with great athletes and even better coaching. What is comes down to is their coaches make faster and better adjustments than Serra's. So even with Serra's fine collection of talent, it will come down to the coaches. To S-House credit they will line up and go toe-to-toe with them. No other team in the south bay has any chance against Oaks nor will they attempt to play them period. Don't hate, line up against Oaks and do better yourself.

SerraLov - you got a point there. Serra is maybe the only team around who has a chance to beat Oaks. Both have good coaches. Oaks just has more coaches and they are all good. Both have great players. It should be interesting this year. I do believe they will both meet up for the 3rd year in a row.

Tony Ciniglio

Tony Ciniglio is an 11-year veteran at the Daily Breeze and is the Prep-JC Editor. Ciniglio graduated from Malibu High (home of the mighty Sharks) in 1997 as part of the school's second graduating class before attending powerhouse Pepperdine (Class of 2001), thus shattering any reader's preconceived notion that he has any personal bias when it comes to South Bay Preps.

Dave Thorpe

Dave Thorpe was a self-proclaimed, slightly above average baseball player back in the day at Torrance's West High, who went on and had an unspectacular, injury-riddled stint as a third baseman at El Camino College. Trading bat for pen, Thorpe wrote sports for the Long Beach Union newspaper at Long Beach State University, then worked as the sports editor for the Palos Verdes Peninsula News for seven years before climbing down the Hill to the Daily Breeze, where he has been a sports writer covering local sports for more than two years.
