Boeing plans to layoff 360 employees at three of its Southern California locations between Dec. 12 and New Year’s Day, bringing total job losses for 2014 to more than 1,600.

Here’s the break down for the job cuts by city:

  • El Segundo: 98
  • Long Beach: 137
  • Huntington Beach: 125

The layoffs were posted to the California Employment Development Department’s website, as required under the WARN Act, which forces companies to warn communities in advance of significant layoffs.

I called Boeing for more information and a spokesperson asked me to send my questions in an email. I’ll update when I hear back.

By January 2015, the region will have lost 1,629 jobs.

Boeing will end production of its C-17 Globemaster cargo plane in Long Beach by next summer, a factory closure affecting 2,200 employees.

Boeing announced in April that it plans to relocate about 1,000 jobs to facilities in Seal Beach and Long Beach over a two year period.

The company opened a customer support call center in Seal Beach in September.

Boeing employees about 19,000 workers in California.
