Like an eco-friendly Bat Sign, the solar panel installation on top of SpaceX rocket factory is a nod to CEO Elon Musk‘s terrestrial efforts to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.

The PacMac-like arrangement of panels produces 1 megawatt of power, or about 900 times the typical home installation.

The panels were mounted this summer by SolarCity, the country’s largest solar installation company run by Elon Musk’s cousin Lyndon Rive. Musk is chairman of the SolarCity board of directors.

The solar company, which has 168,000 customers nationally, has tripled its South Bay footprint.
