Developer Zootfly had stirred up plenty of attention last year when a number of teaser trailers like this one made the rounds in showing off a prototype for a Ghostbusters game that they had hoped to make. That is, until they were unable to secure the license, a license that Sony would later award to Sierra Entertainment and Terminal Reality. Ironically, the excitement created by Zootfly’s trailers had helped Terminal Reality sell the idea to Sony.
And now Zootfly have come up with an idea that could be just as cool, if not ripped from some alternate dimension forgotten by the Twilight Zone.
Brace yourselves for this one, A-Team fans…Mr. T goes to war against the Nazis!
Mohawk Media, the company behind Mr. T’s latest graphic novel, have given Zootfly the license to create games based around the iconic character. Visiting their page will also allow you to download the first chapter of the novel and get you up to speed with what the Mohawked One has been up to.
From Zootfly’s official site, it sounds as if the developer will be featuring the former A-Teamer in “knuckle-whitening action-adventure, furious brawler combat, gravity-defying platforming, and environmental puzzles.”
As for where he’s going:
The first game will see Mr. T take on Nazis and their gigantic machines in the varied universe of South American rain forests, lost ancient cities, industrial complexes and contemporary military installations.
And none other than Will Wright…yes, THAT Will Wright, the game designer behind Spore…will be onboard to help fight the good fight. Only here, he’s also a geneticist that joins Mr. T in order to crush those ambitious Nazis and their nefarious plans for world domination.
I don’t know about you, but I want this game.
