The campaign trailer for Epic's upcoming blitzkrieg, Gears of War 3, is out showing off a bit more of what players can expect from the single-player storyline aiming to finish the trilogy.

The last time we left Cole and Fenix, they had managed to drown the Locust with the sea and stop the early extinction of mankind. Now it looks like Fenix's father is still alive and you can bet that he'll be doing everything he can to rescue him.

That means it's going to be an action packed thrill ride to who knows where, one filled with colossal creatures, ruins, and more glowy Lambent. Will you be ready when it emerges on shelves on September 20th? I know I'll be.

Rockstar Games and Team Bondi have a new trailer for "L.A. Noire" that further showcases the game's cinematic aspects.

Previous trailers have shown game protagonist and 1947 LAPD detective Cole Phelps investigating a case of murder-for-insurance money, a Black Dahlia-esque serial killing case and other examples of vintage vice. The new trailer, the game's third, reveals the game will also put Phelps on the trail of both a rigged boxing match and government-issued morphine. What's more, "the LAPD cops might be involved" with whatever sinister deeds are being committed in the City of Angels.

The trailer doesn't really give prospective players a chance to anticipate what L.A. Noire's actual gameplay will be like, but the featured cut scenes look superb. The game's visuals and soundtrack are reminiscent of such noir classics as "Chinatown" and "L.A. Confidential," just as last year's "Red Dead Redemption" looked to Westerns like "The Wild Bunch" or "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" for visual and thematic inspiration. Is Rockstar guilty of borrowing too much from movies? Let us know what you think.

L.A. Noire is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 on May 17 in North America.
Funcom has released a new trailer for their upcoming MMORPG, "The Secret World". If you're wondering whether it's something you want to play other than World of Warcraft, that depends on whether you want to fight for the fate of the modern day world as a member of one of three secret societies who know the truth of what goes bump in the night. From New York City to Seoul, South Korea, players will get to shoot it out or use the kind of magic Harry Potter can only dream about to fight this secret war.

I've been keeping an eye on this one for awhile and it's been shrouded in, well, "secrecy" since the start, but it looks like Funcom is getting ready to show off more than just a few fancy trailers with a little taste of the gameplay.

Out today is a new trailer from Bethesda Softworks for the next major chapter in their Elder Scrolls series: Skyrim.

This time, it has gameplay that drops more than a few hints on what would-be heroes can look forward to when this open-world RPG arrives on November 11th. Players on the PC, Xbox 360, and the PS3 will all have a chance to save Tamriel, though if the previous games were any indication, they'll have to set some time aside for this one. Oblivion, its predecessor, literally had a hundred plus hours of gameplay to it especially when you factor in the add-ons.

Now the bigger question is: will my PC be able to actually run this thing?

Lucasfilm and Twentieth Century Fox announced today the Star War series is set for September release on Blu-Ray.

The movies are scheduled to be sold in three different box sets. The big nine-disc package is advertised as featuring three discs of alternate and deleted scenes, among other special features, and is expected to retail for $139.99.

The original and prequel trilogies are also set to be sold in their own packages for $69.99 each.

The official announcement does not specify which versions of the original trilogy will be packaged, but the promotional video and Amazon.com chatter indicate that at least some changes made for the 1997 Special Editions or later edits will be included.

Bethesda Softworks on Thursday released its trailer for "Dead Money," the first downloadable expansion for this year's "Fallout: New Vegas."

Judging by the trailer (and Bethesda Softworks press release) players and three NPC's get to fight their way through the Sierra Madre Casino in search of a "legendary treasure." Who would have ever expected a Fallout game to make an allusion to a classic movie?

The DLC is set for release on XBox Live on Dec. 21. Playstation 3 and PC gamers don't get to play it, at least for now. If you want to watch the trailer while having a chance to read through juvenile comments on which system is superior, watch the trailer on YouTube. Otherwise, please click this link.
Gamers who like RPGs, sprawling environments and dragons can check out Bethesda Softworks new teaster trailer for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

The game is set for a Nov. 11, 2011 release on PC, XBox 360 and Playstation 3.

Here's a link to the trailer, which is behind an age gate.
