Beaumont, So Cal Edison to partner in effort to reduce city's energy usage 20 percent by 2011

Beaumont and Southern California Edison are awaiting approval from the California Public Utilities Commission to embark on a partnership opportunity that could mean energy savings for the city, residents, and local businesses, according to a news release. 
Southern California Edison will be providing free energy efficiency seminars to all Beaumont business owners. The first seminar was held Wednesday. 
For information on the next seminar and the city's efforts to reduce energy usage by 20 percent or more by 2011, call (951) 769-8520.
