Conference aims to help business owners take their products to the global market

The U.S. Department of Commerce's California Inland Empire District Export Council is bringing together experts this month to help businesses owners start thinking about taking their products overseas. The 2008 National District Export Council Conference wiill be held Oct. 15-18 at the Wyndham Hotel, 888 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs.
The annual national conference will feature high-ranking government officials, CEOs and foreign leaders who will discuss free trade agreements, logistics, finance packages and other issues directly impacting U.S. businesses and the exporting community-at-large. 
Business attendees will also have the opportunity to schedule one-on-one consultations with Department of Commerce senior commercial officers from American embassies, consulates and institutes to provide the latest on country market opportunities, trade leads, economic trends, and other aspects of doing international business. 
Cost: $395 for three days; $125 for one day, $100 per one-on-one consultation.
