OC agency looking for Marines re-entering civilian life

The Orange County Transportation Authority is providing Marines who will soon return to civilian life a program that will introduce them to career possibilities in the transportation industry. Careers in Transportation Day is a daylong program Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the OCTA Headquarters in Orange. Industry professionals from OCTA, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority, Caltrans and Amtrak will detail career opportunities in transportation including engineering, planning, project management, construction, mechanics, maintenance, administration and driving. OCTA will provide transportation from the Oceanside Amtrak station at 7:30 a.m. and will return to the station at 5:15 p.m. Pre-registration is required for the event.
