Northrop Grumman receives $10M contract in San Bernardino

   San Bernardino-based Northrop Grumman Space & Mission Systems Corp. has been awarded a contract worth more than $10 million.

   This contract provides for the design, fabrication, integration and test of the Extended Area Protection and Survivability (EAPS) Battle Element (BE) prototype hardware. Work will be performed in San Bernardino, Calif., Huntsville, Ala., Redondo Beach, Calif., and Linthicum Heights, Md., with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2012.

   Bids solicited were via the Web and four bids were received. U.S. Army Contracting Command Aviation and missile Command Contracting Center, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the
contracting activity.
