Deadline for ad award entries is fast approaching

   Entries for the annual ADDY Awards competition are due between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a statement from the American Advertising Federation Palm Springs-Desert Cities. Late entries will be assessed a late fee and will be accepted until Jan. 29. Incomplete entries will not be accepted.  All work is eligible if it first appeared in the media or was used from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2008.  The awards ceremony and gala will be held March 21 at the Indian Wells Resort Hotel.
