Apartment association plans 10th annual awards gala this week

   The Rancho Cucamonga-based Apartment Association Greater Inland Empire will honor individuals and businesses in the rental housing industry at the 10th annual Awarding Positive Efforts to Excellence awards at the Riverside Convention Center.  The gala, scheduled from 7 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday, will include a formal dinner, award ceremony and dancing.  Cost: $75.  Information: (909) 948-0784, ext. 14; or www.aagie.com
