The Hi-Desert Water District is recruiting Yucca Valley area residents residing in the Hi-Desert Water District service area to serve on the Wastewater Public Advisory Committee, according to a news release.  The district is planning to build a wastewater treatment and water reclamation facility in Yucca Valley.

The committee will serve as the community's voice during the planning process.  According to the release, the committee's membership "is designed to reflect the knowledge and interest of major affected constituencies: ratepayers, businesses, special interest groups, senior citizens, environmental advocacy, the engineering and construction industries, etc."

There are several seats open, and it is expected to be a two-year commitment. Application and resume must be received no later than 5 p.m. March 3.  Information: (760) 365-8333, via e-mail at donnac@hdwd.com, or online at www.hdwd.com
