The Frontier Project Foundation recently announced the addition of Paul Biane, chairman of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors, as a sponsor of the group's inaugural Green Tie Gala, scheduled for Oct. 17.  The event will honor the Lewis Operating Corp. and Herman Miller Inc. for their contributions to environmental sustainability in the region.  The program will include dinner, entertainment and a silent auction.  Best, Best and Krieger LLP, Robert Brkich Construction Corp., Stone & Youngberg LLC, CV Strategies and Robert A. Bernheimer Inc. are also sponsoring the event.  The Frontier Project, owned by the Cucamonga Water District and designed by HMC Architects, will be a community building with the purpose of "educating business leaders and residential consumers in the latest technologies in water, energy and site conservation," according to a news release.  Sponsorship opportunities are still available.  Information: (909) 483-7484; www.frontierproject.org
