St. Bernardine hospital board welcomes new chairman

Dr. Lawrence Walker has taken over as the chairman of St. Bernardine Medical Center's Hospital Community Board, a 20-member advisory panel.  Walker has been a member of the board since 2005, according to a news release.  The board works with the hospital and its parent company, Catholic Healthcare West "in overseeing quality metrics, mission-related outreach as well as opportunities for growth and improvement," according to the release.
