Firm expands Medicare options

Humana Inc., one of the nation's largest health-care and supplemental benefits firms, announced Tuesday, Oct. 6, an expansion of its Medicare offerings in California.  According to a news release, starting Nov. 15, people eligible for Medicare in San Bernardino, Riverside and Fresno counties can enroll in a Humana Gold Plus HMO plan taking effect Jan. 1, 2010.
