Property rent still dropping

According to Colliers International, a commercial brokerage research company:

* The industrial vacancy rate in the east Inland Empire was 23.3 percent in the third quarter of this year, according to a report released.  Vacancy rates were expected to keep climbing and rental rates to keep dropping in the fourth quarter.  The weighted average asking rental rate in this market was 32 cents per square foot.

* In the west Inland Empire, the industrial vacancy rate was 10.8 percent in the third quarter. Vacancy rates were expected to drop in the fourth quarter while rental rates keep dropping.  The weighted average asking rental rate in this market was 35 cents per square foot.

* The office vacancy rate for the Inland Empire in the third quarter stood at 23.7 percent.  Vacancy rates were expected to keep climbing and rental rates to keep dropping in the fourth quarter.  The weighted average asking rental rate in this market was $1.97 per square foot.
