Board of Equalization sending specialists to Beaumont, Chino

The state Board of Equalization has sent letters to 14,924 retail businesses in 14 ZIP codes, including 92223 in Beaumont and 91710 in Chino, notifying them of upcoming visits by agency specialists. They will be canvassing the areas to ensure that businesses are properly registered and paying taxes, according to a news release. The visits are part of the Statewide Compliance and Outreach Program.  Information: (800) 400-7115; www.boe.ca.gov
