Citizens Choice expands into the Inland Empire

Citizens Choice Healthplan HMO, a Medicare Advantage prescription drug plan, has been approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to expand its service area to include portions of the Inland Empire in San Bernardino and Riverside counties, according to a news release.  The health plan currently contracts with Loma Linda University Medical Center, St. Bernardine Medical Center and Community Hospital of San Bernardino, along with seven medical groups, offering more than 180 primary care and 750 specialty physicians.  According to the news release, the health plan was ranked as the "leading value-based Medicare Advantage plan" in the Inland Empire for 2010.  Information: (866) 646-2247; www.citizenschoicehealth.com
