H1N1-readiness seminar to help local businesses plan for season

The state's Compensation Insurance Fund and UC Berkeley's Center for Infectious Disease and Emergency Readiness are holding a free seminar Tuesday, Nov. 3, in Ontario to help businesses plan for the H1N1 influenza and a possible pandemic.  The event is for business owners, human resources managers, health and safety leaders, and risk and security managers.  Representatives from the American Red Cross, San Bernardino and Riverside counties' departments of public health, and California Emergency Management Agency will all be at the event to provide resource and training materials.  Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel Ontario, 222 N.
