Officials tout Gold Line extension

On Friday, the Foothill Extension Construction Authority held its State of the Project event to commemorate the last 10 years and usher in its next phase of construction, according to a news release.  Stakeholders behind the authority need more money to complete the Gold Line Foothill Extension, a proposed Metropolitan Transit Authority rail route that would be built from Pasadena to the Montclair Plaza area, and eventually extended to L.A./Ontario International Airport. Along with other politicians and community leaders at the event, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Pasadena, spoke. "I am committed to pushing ahead until the line reaches Ontario airport," he said, according to the news release.
