Cal Poly Pomona to host high-tech career fair Jan. 29
Cal Poly Pomona's Career Center will host an engineering and high-tech job fair for students, alumni and the general public on Jan. 29. About 100 companies and government agencies will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Kellogg Gym to discuss full-time and part-time jobs as well as internships. According to a news release, among the companies scheduled to attend are Fluor, Northrop Grumman, Valero, General Electric, Parsons, Raytheon and Southern California Edison. Participants are encouraged to dress professionally, bring plenty of resumes and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews. There also will be a "Resumaniac" from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 28 at the school's Career Center, where corporate recruiters and career counselors will be on hand to critique resumes and cover letters. No appointment is necessary. Participants must bring a hard copy of their resume. Off-campus participants will need to visit the parking kiosk on Kellogg Drive for a $5 parking pass.
