High Desert real estate veteran Tom Dworshak, a real estate veteran in the High Desert, has joined Victorville-based Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Solutions, an independently owned and operated affiliate member of Coldwell Banker Commercial.

Dworshak started out as a pilot in the Army Air Corps and later went into the aerospace industry, advancing to management at Lockheed in Los Angeles.

Arriving in the High Desert in 1977, Dworshak began his real estate career and soon became an expert in land, development and commercial real estate, a company spokesman said. He's helped Adelanto with many projects, as well as facilitating high-profile real estate transactions, the spokesman said.

Dworshak is a past president of the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Civilian Military Activity Committee and a board member of the Apple Valley Country Club.

The Cal Poly Pomona's College of Business Administration will host a job networking session, designed to attract career-minded people, from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Farm Store at Kellogg Ranch, 4102 S. University Drive.

The free reception will offer complimentary refreshments and will be open to the college's alumni and friends of the university, a spokesman said.

Multi-chamber expo, mixer still has room for vendors

There is still time to get space and a table in a Multi-Chamber Business Expo & Mixer on Aug. 31 at the Doubletree Hotel, 222 N. Vineyard Ave., Ontario.

Cost is $50 without electricity and $75 with electricity for a 6-foot-by-6-foot area with one 6-foot table, with tablecloth and skirting, and two chairs.
