Inland Center, along with Touch of Home-Support 4R Military Inc., is collecting supplies and Valentine's Day cards for servicemen and women overseas.

After they are collected, Valentines and much-needed supplies will be packaged and shipped by Touch of Home to soldiers overseas for Valentine's Day.

Goodies will be collected through Feb. 5 at the mall, 500 Inland Center Drive.
"We're Sweet on Soldiers" has helped thousands of soldiers know that we have not forgotten them and appreciate everything they do.

Requested supplies include white tube socks, foot powder, packages of batteries, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, nonperishable food, single-serve drink mixes and snack bars.

The Inland Empire United Way has announced that OHL, a logistics company with multiple Inland Empire warehouses, is the charity's "Company of the Month" for December.

OHL's relationship with Inland Empire United Way includes workplace giving, food drives, and corporate sponsorships. OHL gave $5,000 to the charity's Challenge for Children program, which is aimed at helping disadvantaged children in the region.

The company occupies warehouse space in Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga and Fontana. OHL is headquartered in Tennessee.

San Bernardino Mitsubishi and Subaru of San Bernardino will provide oil changes and vehicle
inspections in exchange for donated toys worth at least $20, the dealership announced.

The toys are to be donated to Loma Linda Children's Hospital.

The offer is limited to Mitsubishi and Subaru owners. The dealership is at 645 Auto Center Drive, San Bernardino.

The Inland Empire United Way has five new board members drawn from the inland business community.

The new board members are:

  • Rick Battistoni, General Manager for Costco in Fontana
  • John Greaves, district operations manager for UPS's airport operations in Ontario
  • Richard Mueller, president of Ameron Water Transmission Group in Rancho Cucamonga
  • Karen Racusin, senior vice president for U.S. Bank, based in Ontario
Keith Matthews, vice president and branch manager for Citizens Business Bank in Ontario.

Stater Bros. Markets is collecting nonperishale food items in all of the grocery chain's 167 stores for its third annual "Harvesting Hope" charity campaign.

The company announced that it is also supporting the Salvation Army's Red Kettle holiday collections campaign and plans to contribute to the purchase of more than 5,700 turkeys to feed the needy on Thanksgiving.

Stater Bros. Markets is based in San Bernardino.

Moss Bros. Auto Group has begun its annual food drive at the Riverside-based company's nine dealerships.

The company's dealerships include Moss Bros. Chrysler Jeep Dodge in San Bernardino. Moss Bros. also operate several dealerships in Moreno Valley and Riverside.

Moss Bros. plans to deliver the food Nov. 22 to Second Harvest Food Bank, which aids the needy in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
