Foremost Foods, International announced a voluntary recall of Pangasinan brand smoked seafood products because of potential botulism contamination.
All the products are expected to be off shelves by Monday, Foremost Foods compliance coordinator Joselito Reyes said.
No illnesses have been reported.
The recall applies to 6 ounce packages of Roundscad Smoked Galunggong and 6 ounce packages of Mackerel Smoked Hasa Hasa. Consumwers are advised not to use the products even if they do not look or smell bad.
The products were distributed in California, Nevada and Washington through Seafood City and Manila Seafood stores.
Botulism is a potentially deadly disease. Symptoms include general weakness, dizziness, double-vision and trouble with speaking or swallowing. Other symptoms are difficulty in breathing, weakness of other muscles, abdominal distension and constipation may also be common symptoms.
People experiencing these problems should seek immediate medical attention.

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market has announced the recall of 12-ounce bags of washed spinach with an "enjoy by" date of Oct. 16.
The El Segundo-based company announced the recall after a test conducted on behalf of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration confirmed to be positive for listeria monocytogenes.
No reported illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled spinach.
Listeria monocytogenes is the same species of bacteria responsible for a deadly outbreak of listeriosis traced to cantaloupes farmed in Colorado.
Symptoms of listeriosis can include high fever, severe headache, nausea and abdominal pain. The illness can be fatal to young children, frail individuals or the elderly. The disease can also cause miscarriages or stillbirths.
Anyone in possession of the recalled spinach is advised to immediately throw it away.
