Area residents who earned less than $60,000 last year and elderly and disabled locals are all eligible for free income-tax preparation again this year, thanks to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program at Cal State San Bernardino. The 2009 program runs through April 11 at various locations.
Free tax assistance will be available:
- From 2 to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through March 18 on the fourth floor of the university’s Jack Brown Hall.
- From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays through April 10 at the Mentone Senior Center and Library, 1331 Opal Ave., except Feb. 13.
- From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through April 11 at the Norman F. Feldheym Central Library, 555 W. Sixth St., San Bernardino, except Feb. 13.
- From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays through April 11, except Feb. 14, at Goodwill Industries Clearance Center, 8120 Palm Ave., San Bernardino; Fontana Boys and Girls Club, 7723 Almeria Ave.; and the Northtown Community Center, 10071 Feron Blvd., Rancho Cucamonga.
