According to a news release, Verizon has awarded seven grants totaling $212,000 to “help create educational opportunities, improve health-care resources, prevent domestic violence, and provide Internet-safety education for San Bernardino residents.”
The grants, according to a news release, went to: Option House, $24,000; Asian American Educational & Cultural Resource Centre, $20,000; Libreria Del Pueblo Inc., $20,000; Applied Principals for Service Inc., $18,000; Community Hospital of San Bernardino, $35,000; San Bernardino Sexual Assault Services, $45,000; San Bernardino City Unified School District, $50,000.
