Upland building leased for five-year term for book repository

   Nicholas Chang and Richard Lee of NAI Capital’s Ontario office represented Newport Beach-based Master Development Corp. in the lease of a 20,548-square-foot industrial building in the Upland Technology Center, 2038 W. 11th St.  According to the news release, the Claremont University Consortium leased the space for a five-year term, and intends to utilize the space for a book repository and special collections archive facility.  The tenant was represented by Nick Quackenbos of Quackenbos-Bell Commercial Real Estate.  Information: (909) 945-2339.

Pardee Homes names senior vice president of construction

   Pardee Homes has promoted John Anglin to senior vice president of construction and purchasing, according to a news release.  Anglin assumes his new position with the April retirement of Randy Myers.  Anglin is a 30-year veteran with the company who will oversee construction activities for Pardee Homes in all of its markets, including the Inland Empire.

Montclair chamber to host State of the City, ‘Taste of’ event

County investment pool earns highest credit rating from S&P

   San Bernardino County’s Investment Pool has earned another top rating from the independent credit-rating agency Standard & Poor’s, county Treasurer-Tax Collector Dick Larsen has announced.  The county’s rating of “AAAf” — the highest possible — means the pool “carries the smallest degree of risk and an expectation that any adverse economical factors would only cause a minor impact to the fund,” according to Larsen.  Information: www.mytaxcollector.com
