Redlands welcomes new restaurant to downtown area

   Thanks to an agreement with the city to help reuse and restore another historic building in downtown Redlands, Romano’s Restaurant, 330 Orange St., will open to the public April 13.  The Redlands Redevelopment Agency entered into an agreement with Gary Romano and Les Richter in August through the agency’s Commercial Rehabilitation Program, according to a news release.  The agency agreed to purchase the building’s facade with the provision that the monies would be used for the renovation of the historic structure.  The improvements had to meet the city’s historic-building design quality standards.  Information: (909) 335-4755.
