AccuDiagnostics, a Rancho Cucamonga-based drug-testing company, is offering complimentary drug-free workplace policy consultations and supervisor training as part of National Drug-Free Work Week. The annual campaign, now in its third year, is designed to educate employers, employees and the general public about the benefits of a drug-free workplace. General Environmental Management Inc. in Pomona recently announced that it has signed a letter of intent with Cake Energy LLC to build and operate waste-to-energy facilities in the western United States. “GEM has committed to entering the WTE market, and we could not have found a better partner than Cake Energy,” GEM CEO Tim Koziol said in a news release. “Their technology is truly unique and revolutionary in dealing with the growing problem of managing primary sewage waste, also known as sludge.” The companies hope to build their first waste-to-energy plant in the next two years.
The Inland Empire chapter of the American Advertising Federation will hold its annual Inland Empire Media Auction from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at Cafe Sevilla, 3252 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside.
