For six years, the National Electrical Contractors Association and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in San Bernardino has helped children with from kidney disease at Loma Linda University Medical Center, donating gift cards and buying items to help entertain them while they receive dialysis, according to a news release. This year, the two groups bought the hospital’s Pediatric Hemodialysis Unit four DVD players, two Nintendo Wii systems, 17 movies and eight games for the game cube system. Children also received Target gift cards. Southern Sierras Chapter NECA along with IBEW Local 440 Riverside County and IBEW Local 477 San Bernardino each donated $1,000.
