Business financing workshop to happen in Montclair

San Bernardino County Workforce Invesment Board and Montclair city officials have announced a workshop to help business managers secure credit.

Eugene Valdez, senior vice president for Pacific Mercantile Bank, is scheduled to be the workshop’s facilitator.

The workshop is scheduled to begin with a 7:30 a.m. registration and continue until 11 a.m. Tuesday at Montclair Community Center Auditorium, 5111 Benito St.

Lucy Dunn, CEO of the Orange County Business Council, is the scheduled speaker for Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce’s next “Build Your Business” networking breakfast.

Small business owners to meet Saturday in Calimesa

Thirty Calimesa-area business are expected to attend Reliance Referrals Network’s gathering to be held Saturday in Calimesa.

The network meets weekly to discuss community events and refer each others’ business. Saturday’s agenda also includes tri-tip barbecue and a musical performance by Rod Tankerson.

Finesse Staffing, a Rancho Cucamonga-based job placement firm, is scheduled to host a workshop on labor law and job evaluations Thursday morning.

Pomona veterinary hospital hosts grand reopening

An open house on April 17 at the Pomona Valley Veterinary Hospital will showcase the remodeled facility, the hospital said.

Clients can attend the grand re-opening to view the hospital at 158 W. McKinley Ave. in Pomona from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is planned to include door prizes and refreshments.

County supervisor to meet business community

Janice Rutherford, supervisor for San Bernardino County’s Second District, announced a business roundtable meeting to be held Thursday night.

Rutherford called the meeting meet business managers and entrepreneurs in order to collect ideas on how county government may be able to improve the business climate, her office announced.

The event is set to be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Jessie Turner Community Center, 15556 Summit Ave., Fontana.

Upland chamber networking event set for Friday

The Upland Chamber of Commerce’s networking breakfast, First Friday, will be on Friday at the Carnegie Building.
