New meeting location for construction group’s meeting

The Inland Empire chapter of National Association of Women in Construction has a new location for its February meeting.

The meeting’s featured speaker Christopher M. Myers of C.W. Driver Builders, is scheduled to discuss the U.S. Small Business Administration’s mentorship program. The mentorship program allows minority-owned small businesses and other firms meeting certain criteria to partner with larger companies when bidding for federal contracts.

The meeting is now scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at Hilton Garden Inn, 11481 Mission Vista Drive, Rancho Cucamonga.

Admission will cost $25.

Rancho Cucamonga financial services firm crests 200 million transaction mark

CO-OP Financial Services, based in Rancho Cucamonga, processed more than 200 million electronic payments in December, the company reported.

It was the first time the company ever processed more than 200 million transactions in a single month.

CO-OP Financial services provides payment processing and other services to credit unions. The company processed some 2.2 billion payments in all of 2011.

The company first crested the 1 billion mark in 2004.

Lewis Group and developer buy 10-acre Rancho Cucamonga site

Lewis Land Developers, part of the Upland-based Lewis Group of Cos. and Riverside-based builder Van Daele Homes on Thursday announced their purchase of a 10-acre site in Rancho Cucamonga.

The purchase price was not disclosed.

The companies plan to build and sell 33 single-family homes at the site, which is north of Base Line Road between between Etiwanda and East Avenues.

The planned homes’ sizes will range from 2,700 to 3,500 square feet with asking prices in the mid-$400,000s to low $500,000s, Lewis group reported.

The companies expect the first of the 33 homes to be available for sale in mid 2012.
