The J.C. Penney department store at the Mall of Victor Valley is expanding, mall managers announced.
The J.C. Penney store will occupy roughly 100,000 square feet at the completion of its expansion. Completion is expected late this year.
J.C. Penney is one of three anchor tenants at the Victorville mall. Cinemark Theatre and Sears are the other two anchors, and a Macy’s store is scheduled to open in 2013.
Real estate firm Faris Lee Investments has brokered the $15.43 million sale of the Kohl’s building at 233 S. Mountain Avenue in Upland.
The 76,712-square-foot building was built in 1978 and renovated in 2009. The property is part of the Mountain Green shopping center.
Faris Lee president Rich Walter and senior managing director Donald MacLellan represented the seller, a Lubert-Adler Management West partnership and the buyer, YFP Kohls Upland LLC. Both parties are based in Los Angeles.
