405 Freeway Closes Nightly for Construction
Hopefully you'll be blissfully sleeping in bed while this is going on, but for those of you hitting the roads at night, be aware that all lanes of the northbound 405 Freeway between Mulholland Drive and the 101 Freeway will be closed from 1-5 a.m. June 18-20.
Detour signs will be posted.
The freeway closing is part of a Caltrans $46 million project at the 101/405 interchange extending the current auxiliary lane on northbound I-405 past the Greenleaf off-ramp to the U.S. 101 connector. It permanently closes the loop on-ramp from eastbound Ventura Boulevard and constructs the Dickens Street bypass.
The project is estimated to complete in summer 2007.
