405 Freeway closing for construction Wednesday night

construction.jpg Night owls take note: All lanes of the southbound 405 Freeway from Santa Monica Boulevard to the 10 Freeway will be closed from 11 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27 until 6 a.m. Thursday, June 28, Caltrans reports.

Construction is for a $50 million project to extend the carpool lane on the 405 Freeway south from Sunset Boulevard to the 10 freeway. The new lane should be finished this summer.
